Roche Türkiye will rebuild a family health center with a capacity of six physicians in Adıyaman which was damaged in the earthquake on February 6.
Since 1958, Roche has been working with the mission of contributing to society and health services in Turkey. Roche continues to mobilize its power and resources to support the relief efforts of the Kahramanmaraş earthquake that affected 11 cities of Turkey.
In line with this, a cooperation protocol was signed between Roche Türkiye, Adıyaman Provincial Health Directorate and Adıyaman Governorship to construct a new family health center (ASM). Within the scope of the cooperation, Roche Türkiye will build a new two-storey family health center with a capacity of six physicians in the central district of Adıyaman.
Adıyaman Deputy Governor Muhammet Tugay, Adıyaman Provincial Health Director M.D. Erdoğan Öz, Roche Pharmaceuticals Türkiye General Manager Natasa Klicko and Roche Pharmaceuticals Türkiye Market Access and Health Policy Leader Tuğba Akgül attended the protocol signing ceremony.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Adıyaman Deputy Governor Muhammet Tugay said, “Our hope is that the health center will significantly solve the health needs of the citizens, and will be beneficial to the neighborhood. I am grateful to Roche for undertaking the construction of the center and for its contributions.”
Adıyaman Provincial Health Director M.D. Erdoğan Öz stated that, “With the earthquake on February 6, serious destruction and damage occurred in our health facilities, as well as the destroyed and heavily damaged houses throughout Adıyaman province. Due to the damage in the Family Health Center No. 5 in Adıyaman central Varlık Neighborhood, no service can be provided. With the protocol we signed with Roche today, our Family Health Center will be rebuilt and put into service in a short time. I would like to thank the Roche officials who undertook the construction of the center for their contributions.”
Roche Pharmaceuticals Turkey General Manager M.D. Natasa Klicko said the following about the cooperation: “Since the first day of the disaster, we have been acting in full cooperation with official public institutions and organizations and working with all our strength to contribute to the relief efforts . We are closely monitoring the needs in the earthquake region. Unfortunately, on February 6, the Family Health Center Number 5 of Adıyaman Provincial Health Directorate was damaged in the earthquake. As a company that has adopted the mission of providing more benefits for more patients with all our activities, we wanted to contribute to the continuity and sustainability of healthcare services in Adıyaman. Therefore, we will work to ensure that the family health center to be built will serve the citizens of Adıyaman with all its equipment as soon as possible.”
