Cherif Omar was appointed as General Manager of Sanofi Turkey’s Consumer Health Business Unit.
SCherif previously served as the General Manager of Consumer Health in Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea at Sanofi. Omar was appointed as Sanofi Turkey’s Consumer Health General Manager as of November 2021.
Graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, Cherif Omar holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. Starting his career in the FMCG industry in 2004, Omar held various roles in this field such as Marketing Manager, Commercial Category Manager and Brand Manager. Switched to the pharmaceutical industry in 2012, Cherif Omar served as the Marketing Director of Africa and Near East Region at Novartis Consumer Health Business Unit.
Omar, who started his career journey at Sanofi in 2014, will lead the Consumer Healthcare team of Sanofi Turkey in his new position.
