Leading medical gel manufacturer in Europe, Turkuaz Healthcare, has revealed new advancements to increase its production capabilities and boost the export capacity of its innovative products. Having been awarded the “Technology-Oriented Industry Move” incentive in the program of the Ministry of Technology, Turkuaz Healthcare will expand its export percentage within total sales to 80 percent with the facility established under this program. With an aim to remarkably diminish the import share of Turkey via the newly incentivized product range, the company aims to expand its export horizon with its new investments.
Turkuaz Healthcare, manufacturing and exporting a wide product range from medical chemicals, disinfectants, antiseptic products, and sexual health items to consumer healthcare products has been awarded the government incentive as part of the “Technology Oriented Industry Move” initiative issued by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Within the scope of the government project striving to increase the production of value-added, high-tech products within Turkey, the company will construct a new production facility dedicated to burn gel and burn dressing products. The company will increase its export share up to 80 percent with a total of approximately 8,500 square meters, including production areas, laboratories, warehouses, and administrative areas.
“Our R&D center develops numerous projects annually”
Ömer Koç, Turkuaz Healthcare’s CEO, states that the majority of the products in the burn care group are exported and imports in this category will decrease significantly with the new product line entitled to the incentive. In his statement, Koç remarked: “The transformation of our new product developed in our R&D center into an investment in such a manner as well as its acceptance and support as a strategic product for our country has had a positive impact on both our business and our team. With our R&D center, we develop many projects every year, focusing on innovative, powerful, and value-added products. Our R&D center has now started to be supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. In parallel with the data collected from the field and the market research, we will continue our work with products with high commercialization and export potential. With this incentive granted, we aim to produce over 9 million burn gels and burn dressings, 12.5 million sachets of burn gels, and over 6 million ultrasound gels annually.”
“Incentives for high-tech goods hold considerable value.”
Assessing the impact of these incentives on both Turkuaz Healthcare and the Turkish economy, Ömer Koç stated: “The basic catalyst for economic growth in developing nations is the production of high-tech, value-added products. These products have huge export potential. Reduction of the current account deficit is only possible via investments in such high-tech products. Particularly R&D processes of products within this category incur substantial expenses. Supporting the R&D and investment processes of companies investing in this field significantly contributes to the nation’s progress as well as corporate advancement. As Turkuaz Healthcare, we are proud to be deemed worthy of this incentive with our innovative and high-performance burn products.”
