Turkish medical sector is one of the high value-added potential of the chemistry industry with its 2.5 billion dollars market size and export of volume.

It is also a strategic sector due to it directly affects the health and quality of life. We expect our sector, which left behind year 2014 with its 891 million dollars, exceed $ 1 billion in 2015 in export. As order Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB), we will continue making national participation and our different operations in 2015 in order to increase our exports and to assist firms to new markets. We will make trade committee organization for the fifth time with Ekspomed-Labtek, the biggest fair of the medical sector in Turkey, 26 to 29 March 2015, simultaneously. With Ekspomed trade committee, we plan to make bring purchasing committee from Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenia and Ethiopia for medical and pharmaceutical industry. We are working for the realization of national participation for the seventh time for the world’s largest health and medical products fair, Medica Fair, 16 to 19 November 2015, Düsseldorf, Germany. Our companies will display disposable products used in medical, medical devices, orthopedic supplies, personal care and health care product and hospital equipment. Thus, they will improve their export performance and be able to establish new connections. We plan to hold sectorial trade mission for Chile and Colombia in April, Vietnam and Thailand in September as well as our national attended fair organization. At the same time, we will arranging for training on export in February with our Medikal URGE project, “MediClusTR” consisting of 44 companies.
