Leading the scientific partnership processes of Astellas Türkiye since 2021, Dr. Erdem Özdemir was appointed as Medical Director at Astellas Pharma Türkiye.
An important assignment has been made in Astellas Pharma Türkiye, which operates as the pioneer of change in the field of health with the vision of transforming innovative science into value for society. Having successfully served as the Senior Medical Manager of the company since 2021, Dr. Erdem Özdemir was appointed as Medical Director at Astellas Pharma Türkiye as of August 1, 2023. As a member of Astellas Türkiye Leadership Team, Dr. Özdemir will report his work to the International Markets and China Medical Leader.
After graduating from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and completing Hemodialysis Medicine Education in 2004, Dr. Erdem Özdemir moved to the pharmaceutical industry after working as a physician at Baxter RTS Transmed Dialysis Center between 2003-2006. He achieved various successes in Roche Pharmaceuticals between 2006-2011, in Novartis Oncology between 2011-2017, and in Boehringer Ingelheim between 2017-2018, together with the teams he led. Before joining Astellas Pharmaceuticals Türkiye, Dr. Özdemir most recently served as the Medical Department Manager at Centurion.
Erdem Özdemir, who led the scientific collaborations established with the Nephrology community as the Senior Medical Manager at Astellas Pharma Türkiye, ensured that all medical trainings were completed successfully in order to perfect customer interaction. In the realization of the launch plan, strong cooperation was established with all functions and Astellas Pharma made significant contributions to Türkiye’s effective representation in the Astellas International Markets Medical Organization.
