As Turkey’s pharmaceutical sector leader for 22 consecutive years, Abdi İbrahim aims to enhance the competencies of young people in the fields of science and technology through the Discovering the Future Program. This year’s program offered participants the opportunity to develop themselves in a total of 17 topics through 63 training sessions and 4 webinars across modules including “Creative Competencies,” “Global Sustainability,” and “Digital Transformation and Biotechnology Journey.”
Each module was designed inspired by inventions and discoveries that have marked history. The creative thinking techniques of Edward De Bono influenced the Creative Competencies module, Buckminster Fuller inspired the Global Sustainability module, and Dorothy Hodgkin inspired the Digital Transformation module. Participants received training in areas such as Inquiry and Curiosity, Creative Problem Solving, and Design Thinking.
The educational process was supported by enriching webinars and workshops. In the “Discoverers of Biotechnology Webinar” series, experts met with young people to share information about career opportunities. Additionally, “Digital Content Workshops” encouraged participants to produce their own content.
The Discovering the Future Library allowed young people to share their own content, fostering their creativity. The program also hosted a special webinar for those seeking career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.
Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül, Group Head of Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability at Abdi İbrahim, stated, “As a company with a 112-year history, we strive to leave a positive mark on the world through social investment projects, not just by producing medicine. The Discovering the Future Program is one of the key initiatives we launched with the vision of creating scientific awareness. We aim to develop the creativity and scientific perspectives of young people.”
Over three years, Abdi İbrahim has received 15,000 applications from across Turkey, incorporating 2,665 high school students into the program, continuing to unveil the potential of young people through the Discovering the Future Program.
