Jens Pii Olesen, who has 22 years of experience in Novo Nordisk’s international operations, has been appointed as the Vice President and General Manager of Novo Nordisk Turkey operations. Having held this position since 2016, Dr. Burak Cem was appointed to a global position in Warsaw as the Corporate Vice President responsible for the Southern and Eastern Europe Region.
The global healthcare company Novo Nordisk, managed by the world’s largest foundation, became Turkey’s Vice President and General Manager, Jens Pii Olesen, as a result of the changes made in the management of the organization to which Turkey is affiliated. Jens Pii Olesen, who has been leading the commercial operations of diabetes, obesity and rare diseases, which are the therapy areas of Novo Nordisk in many different countries for the last 22 years, is known for carrying out sustainable and distinctive projects.
Jens Pii Olesen, who will start his duty in Turkey as of June 1, 2022, said in a statement on the subject, “Turkey is one of the countries with strategic importance in the global operations of Novo Nordisk due to its activities in diabetes, obesity and rare diseases and its efforts to become a regional center. Continuing his duty as Novo Nordisk Turkey Vice President and General Manager since January 2016, Dr. Burak Cem was appointed as the Corporate Vice President of the Southern and Eastern Europe Region due to his successful work.
